Cabin Creek Trail

Description: Trail that is about 3-6 miles, great trail for snowmobile rides, snow shoeing and moderate cross country/downhill ski.

Castle Peak

Description: A moderately difficult hike a little over 5 miles, ascent to the summit adds more difficulty. Also great for mountain biking. Snowshoes and skiing in the winter months.

Clair Tappan Lodge

Description: Historic mountain lodge in the Tahoe area near several ski areas, fishing, the Pacific Crest Trail, and much more. Lodge also encourages a volunteer spirit with adults and kids alike helping out with kitchen duties, shoveling snow, splitting firewood and more.

Description: Hiking trail with many lakes along the way. Meets up with the Pacific Crest Trail. Dog friendly.

Commemorative Emigrant Trail

Description: A 7.5 mile hike from start to finish. Open seasonally from May to October. You can shorten this hike by starting at the Donner Campsite and ending at Stampede Reservior.

Donner Lake Rim Trail

Description: A project of the Donner Land Trust to build a trail encompassing the peaks around Donner Lake. Great for hikers and equestrians.

Description: Ski resort located in Tahoe.
